“Mozart in the Jungle’ is created by Paul Weitz (About A Boy), Roman Coppola (The Darjeeling Limited), Jason Sctumblr_inline_nfcdc1fZbQ1qeh93yhwartzman (Moonrise Kingdom) and Alex Timbers (Peter and the Starcatcher) after the non-fictional book of the same title “Mozart in the Jungle: Sex, Drugs & Classical Music” by Blair Tindall. If the classical music is not your thing, maybe the idea of sex and drugs could turn you in. I mean, how often does one hear about drugs and sex scandals in a world that puts hundred year old music on the first page? It has to be intriguing. I guess this is what Paul Weitz (About A Boy), Roman Coppola (The Darjeeling Limited), Jason Schwartzman (Moonrise Kingdom) and Alex Timbers (Peter and the Starcatcher) have thought when they created this world of oboe sounds and clashing egos?

Did I tell you that Gael Garcia Bernal is in it? He is!!! And even though the pilot episode was a mere introduction of his character, it also led to conclude that he’s going to give one finely tuned performance. And so are Suffron Burrows, the great Bernadette Petters, Malcolm McDowell, Lola Kirke – a revelation. I’ve also read some reviews from other prestigious sources and they all conclude that “Mozart in the Jungle” is a MUST SEE series. I usually wait to see the series for myself before passing judgements, but I’m inclined to believe that they are right and this series is worth it.

I repost the series trailer in the hope that you will find it so compelling that you’ll hurry to your Amazon Video account to see it.

Enjoy it!
