When I first saw the pilot episode of “Mozart in the Jungle” (during the 2014 Amazon original pilot season), I didn’t pay too much attention to it and missed the gist completely. Now, I just finished re-watching it on Amazon Prime and I can’t wait to see the rest of the series. In case you don’t know anything about it, please, please, please check it out ’cause it’s amazing.
If you love classical music, you’ll be delighted to find out a series that centers itself into the world of a fictional symphony orchestra in New York ( …. the image of the series is absolutely stunning and breathtaking). If you want to see excellent performances, watch Saffron Burrows, Malcolm McDowell, Gael Garcia Bernal and Lola Kirke act. Need an intriguing story? I redirect you to “Mozart in the Jungle” once again.
A new Amazon Original Series: What happens behind the curtains at the symphony is just as captivating as what happens on stage. Created by Paul Weitz (About a Boy), Roman Coppola (The Darjeeling Limited), and Jason Schwartzman (Rushmore). Brash new maestro Rodrigo (Gael Garcia Bernal) is stirring things up, and young oboist Hailey (Lola Kirke) hopes for her big chance. (Amazon Instant Video – official synopsis)
The pilot episode can be found here: Mozart in the Jungle Pilot Episode. The 10 episodes of the series will be available on Amazon Prime Instant Video (in US, UK and Germany) starting with Dec. 23.
